Wytheville, VA – On June 25th, 2022, Formato Fine Arts successfully hosted a highly anticipated Drag Bingo Night that drew both enthusiastic attendees and unexpected protesters from Charlotte.
Despite initial concerns, gallery owner Lily Formato quickly recognized the increased publicity brought by the protests. “I was super scared at first, but then I realized they just gave my gallery so much PR!” Formato stated.
The event featured outstanding performances by talented drag queens, who captivated the audience with their energy and artistry. Formato expressed her gratitude to the performers for their dedication and resilience. “A shout out to the queens who performed their heart out,” she added.
The gallery owner also extended a sarcastic thanks to the protesters, acknowledging the unexpected boost in business their presence brought. “I want to thank these individuals for making the drive up and giving me so much business,” Formato remarked.
