Formato Fine Arts Gallery is delighted to announce the addition of ceramic artist Madden Marie Pilkerton to our roster of distinguished artists. Pilkerton's work, characterized by meticulous attention to detail and a minimalist aesthetic, delves into intimate moments within nature and life, emphasizing themes of family, fragility, and belonging.
Currently pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Pilkerton was honored with the Lester and Marcia Novy Memorial Award in 2024, recognizing her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft.

In her artist statement, Pilkerton reflects:
"I look for little sparkles of joy every day, questioning life, death, and what it means to find positivity within hardship. My work is often clean, with every detail intentional and specific, exposing my raw and vulnerable emotions through the time and attention put into each piece."

Her creations, primarily in porcelain, capture life's delicate balance, encouraging viewers to pause, reflect, and appreciate the ephemeral beauty of existence. Pilkerton's ability to convey movement and tension in a static medium invites contemplation and introspection.
We invite you to explore Madden Marie Pilkerton's evocative works at Formato Fine Arts Gallery and experience the profound narratives she weaves through her art.
